Wizfeast
Get ready for a merry challenge!
Wizfeast is my first game, my baby you could say, a short, hand-crafted platformer designed to test your skills and patience, just 4 short but unique levels. Don't let the lack of holiday theme fool you, the festive spirit (and a final cinematic reward) awaits you after the last level. (:
What you can expect?:
- 4 Hand-Picked Levels: No filler content. Every jump matters.
- Changing Gameplay: Each level introduces a different and unique mechanic. Just when you think you’ve mastered the controls, the rules change.
- Short but though: Not more than 5 minutes if you know what you are doing! Average gameplay shall go around 30 mins!
F.A.Q.
1. Did someone really ask this?
No! But I like the format!
2. The assets looks familiar?
This game originally started thanks to Alva Majo's Godot video tutorial, which is why it inherited the core assets. (Character and first level tileset)
As development advanced, I grew attached to them and decided not to change them.
3. Can i play with a gamepad?
Yes! it should be 100% compatible with any gamepad that uses Xbox layout.
4. What are the controls?
Keyboard:
Jump/Accept: Space, Enter.
Run: Shift. (Any)
Restart: R.
Pause: Esc, TAB.
Gamepad:
Jump/Accept: A.
Run: B, Triggers.
Restart: Select.
Pause: Start.

i must be missing something here - how do you get past the floor/roof spikes on the 2nd part of the 1st level ?
tried everything i can think of but on 43 deaths due to them ...
Short jumps! The longer you press the jump button, the further you jump. If you just tap it quickly, you'll do a shorter jump. :D
thats a really really hard jump for a first level , too hard for me - tried another 27 attempts and only got past it 2 times so im out !
Thanks a lot for trying anyway. :D It was meant to be a tutorial on jump control, but it sounds like I made the margin for error too small. I'll check it out
EDIT: Added a bit more margin. It should be enough to make the player understand the jump mechanic without being as punitive as before.
WOOOWWWW I LOVE IT,,,, IT'S SO CUTE AND SILLY!!! GOTYYYY>:DD
